Post 10: English Languages Challenges

The English in the university is a necessary subject because it prepares the student in this language. Is important because the English is a important language in the word, important to learn new knowledge in the different areas of social science. For me learn to English is important because this language is very difficult for me, but in class I learn much, because Miss Zagal is a good teacher, because your class is didactic.

For other parts, the blog is a good tools to education, because allow for development of written. Besides, the blog allow for practice in internet, learn to use new pages, learn to use blogger.com, etc. Finally, blog is a element that continue to use in class because is a good educational tools. 

My aspect for a need improved is all, first is necessary more practice to written, especially grammar and orthography. Second, is necessary more English listen. Finally is necessary practice talking in English, because this is only way to improve my talk. 

For other parts, I believe is necessary assisting to institute of English, because I felling that improve mi English in relation to my work. I like so much learn good English, especially to read new investigation for my degree, Psychology.

In relation to use English outside of class, I believe that use a little because my social circle use the Spanish, not the English. 

In general my opinion for this subject is good, especially for the teacher, because she is worry for your students; she is a good teacher and person. I hope to see soon and talking in English. 

Post 9: Changes to My Study Programme

Psychology is defined as the study of the mind, in all its aspects. Psychology degrees deal with the understanding of individuals and their behavior within society and considering the human stages of development. Psychology can be distinguished in two main groups of basic, theoretical psychology and applied psychology.

I study Psychology in FACSO at University of Chile, in fourth grade. The careers of psychology have ten semesters; the first and second semester is introduction to social science, for example: Sociology, anthropology and philosophy. After that, Psychology introduce in the principal theory of social science, especially in theory of human mentality. In the thirty and fourth semester, I has signature of social methodology, for example: ethnography, Focus Group and social interview. After, in the fifth and sixth semester, psychology introduce in the theory of practice areas, for example: community psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, legal psychology and Psychology of work and organizations. In the seventh and eighth semester Psychology you can select different optative signature, which belong to different areas of Psychology. Finally in the ninth and tenth semester you can make a professional practice and make a thesis.

In my opinion, in general terms, the degree of Psychology in Facso is good, but is necessary change the focus of intervention, is necessary including more practice in the formation, because actually not exist. For other part, is necessary more social methodology and critical theory. Finally is necessary change the profile of psychology of FACSO, because actually the profile of Psychologist is commercial.

Post 7: Someone I'd like to meet

I like to meet people so much, especially people from other countries, because it is possible to learn other cultures. Meeting other peoples is the principal human activity, Meeting people represents the possibility of interaction a moong humans. From my perspective, meeting other people represents one important principle of the human race, because it allows human development.

In my case, even though I have a long explanation about meeting people, I choose the special person. I choose "Anaki Skywalker" (also known as Darth Vader). Anakin Skywalker was a Force-sensitive human male who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight. He was born to Shmi Skywalker and moved to the Outer Rim world of Tatooine at a young age, where he and his mother were slaves. They both belonged to a Toydarian junk dealer named Watto. At a young age, Skywalker was discovered by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi, who freed Anakin from slavery and brought the boy into their community; hailing Skywalker as the Chosen One of Jedi prophecy, destined to defeat the Sith and bring balance to the Force

I chouse "Darth Vader" because he represents the possibility of change of the human race, because during all movie he represents the evil, the character represents the dark side, but in the end of the movie he changes, He prefered his son's life to his own. I admire this character because he wins to dark side, and brings the balance to the Force.

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

When I joined in the university, I wanted a great job where helping the people is possible. But in the beginning it was very difficult, because the classes were not functional to this objective. It was necessary to search to new knowledge to reach my objective to help the people.

In the road of university, It was possible to understand that I liked to study educational psychology, specialty with children in the school. But unfortunately the pregrade in the university does not give a good knowledge, it is necessary to study a postgraduate.

I chose a postgraduate in educational psychology because I need more tools to work in the school. Besides this postgraduate gives tools for the investigation. This program is possible to study in Chile at Facso University of Chile in the "magister en Psicologia educacional", the price of magister is $2.100.000. The magister lasts two years.

I believe that the magister is a business, because it is possible that the university gives a good knowledge in the pregrade, but it creates the necessity to study a postgraduate, it create the disorientation in the university people. I don't say that the postgraduate should not exist; I say it is necessary to increase the quality of pregraduate.

Sometimes I think in the opportunity to study in Spain, but this is not my priority right now, because it is necessary to work first in Chile.

Post 5: My Future Job

When I was decided study in the university, I had three option: a) Psychology b) Engineering c) or Medicine. I was liked psychology, because is possible help the people, as well as my friends were saying who good for the advices. In relation to engineering, I was liked this degree, because is possible construct houses for the people. Finally, I was liked medicine, because is possible cure the people, even save the people of the dead.

In 2013, I was decided for Psyhology in the University of Chile. I like so much mi degree, because I was learning for the human in the differents scopes, principally in the theory of development. I will like study more theory of Psychology, because I will to have more tools to resolve differents problems of society.


In the near future, I will imagine working in the township, principally in the social area, in someone department who help the people, this is my objective in relation of my job. I will imagine working in the street, talking with the people. I think it is necessary mores professionals working in the social area, it is necesarry mores professionals engaged whit the social problems, it is necesarry more professional engaged whit the nation problems, because this is only way to the change.

Post 4: Election Day, Ideas for the democracy

From the historic perspective, the topic of voting is very controversial. On the one hand, exists groups who believe in the importance of voting for the change. Other groups believe that the vote is not good to the change. These two perspectives are very apposed, because they are irreconcilable. 

In this occasion I won't vote for the mayor in my city hall, because it does not represent my political perspective . I think it is necessary propose candidates from the people, a candidate who represents the necessity of the people. Because generally the candidates proposed from the political parties to maintain the power. 

My opinion for the electoral campaigns is really unnecessary, it is much trouble for the view. Besides it contaminates the ecosystem with the "palomitas". In fact it is a trouble to the automobiles because  they impede a good driving. 

Currently I considerer myself a politician, but from my perspective, maybe someday I will be able to run for a political position, but from the people, when the people consider me, when the community construct one political program.

Finally I thinks it is necessary to construct a really political life, because the vote does not represent the democracy, the vote is one moment, it is required more politicial participation, this change is necessary. 

Post 3: My Favorite TV show

In this blog, I'm going to talk about "how I meet your mother", my favorite TV show. I was 16 years old when I knew this series in the Sony Channel, in this period I was fanatic about the series, I was able to see 6 episodes a day. Currently, I can't see the series, because I don't have time because of the university.

How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that originally aired on CBS from September 19th, 2005, to March 31st, 2014. The series follows the main character, Ted Mosby, and his group of friends in Manhattan. (Marshall, Lily, Barney and Robin). As a framing device, Ted, in the year 2030, recounts to his son and daughter the events that led him to meeting their mother.

I like this series because it is very funny and romantic, it is capable to show the complex of life. My favorite episode is the first one, because in this episode the main character, Ted Mosby, declares his love to Robin Scherbatsk, later this girl, turns to the important character of TV show.

Post 2: The Best Concert I've ever seen

The best concert I've see was the "Kiss" at 2009 at Estadio Bicentenario de la Florida , I was 14 years old in this moment. Kiss was an American hard rock band formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley. Their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, levitating drum kits, and pyrotechnics. This group produced a landmark in the world of rock and concert, their performance is espectacular, this group is unique for me. 

This concert is important for me because it was the first concert that I attended in my life. In this concert I attended with my father and sister. The music sounded espectacular, the stage was so big and luminated. It was good experience and funny moment because I love the classic rock. I know the kiss group because my father is a fan, he loves all classical rock group. After the concert with my father and sister went to eat "churrascos". This experiece turned into a tradition for my family, every concert of rock that there is, we attend 

My presentation

Hi,  My name is Camilo Caro. I am from Santiago, Chile. I was born in the Hospital Sotero del Rio, Puente Alto.  I am 21 years old. I live with my parents and one sister at La Florida. At present, I am studying Psychology at the University of Chile.

Regarding my English, I feel myself very weak in the language. I am able to understand English, but to write and to talk is very difficult for me. 

My expectation for this class is to prepare myself  better for the English language and to undertand the grammar of English.

Blog 9 - my best friend.

In the university I have many friends with whom I share daily in both classes, study hours, lunch, and many more activities, but I have a best friend, her name is Fernanda. Fernanda is very funny, smiling, friendly, intelligent and very cute. My best friend met her in the university, studying psychology like me but her second-year and fourth year. We are friends recently, I met her last year but I consider my best friend and my partner and we do everything together, we study together, we work, we had lunch, talked about different topics, go to movies and more. We are very confident and we take care of each other. I remember one day we went to the movies, I wanted to see a horror movie but Fernanda was really scary. I told him that nothing was wrong it was just a movie and went to see her. Fernanda remember the whole movie blindfolded with his hands and was very funny way. It was a great day as they always are with her.

Very rarely find real friends as she is to me, it is really important to have real friends who will help and support at all times.

Blog 5 - My favorite photograph

If you ask me which is one of my favorite photographs I would say this. This photograph which captures a march of students in front of the palace of La Moneda represents the strength of the student movement that exists today in my country. While no one took it, I know it this year 2016 and I really like because this captured from the heights where we see more clearly the many students who came out to march for our demands. It is very exciting to attend and participate in these instances, since it is possible to find students, teachers, mothers, fathers, children and various people whom the authorities are demanding that the demands that today our country needs are met. It is also possible nowadays to see different marches in our city which are of cultural character or rather protest. I really like these instances attend this year I attended student demonstrations in conjunction with fellow faculty and friends, also marches for equality and protest marches against government decisions. It is interesting to know the different demands, forms of protest and forms of expression that exist today. What do you think of student marches?

My favorite band of rock is AD/DC. This group was formed in November 1973, they are considered pioneers of heavy metal. The group is formed by Angus Young (lead Guitar), Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Mark Evans (bass guitar), Phil Rudd (drums) and Brian Johnson (lead and backing vocals). Some albums are High Voltage (1976), T.N.T. (1977), Highway to Hell (1979) and Back in Black (1980).

This band is important in the World because in 2003, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I like this group because their music is awesome and powerful. Other reason is that every Monday my father plays this music in his record player and attends with me to every concert of rock.  

My favorite song is thunderstruck because it is a classic of rock, everybody knows, it is the most famous song of this group.

Post 3 - Favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is the PlayStation 4. This product is a home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Announced as the successor to the PlayStation 3 during a press conference on February 20, 2013, it was launched on 2014.

This console is spectacular because it has great graphic and very good games ( Prince of persia, Star-Wars, god of war, call of duty, etc)

I have this product since the Christmas of 2015, but my admission in the University, I don't have time to use my console, when I am lucky and have free time, I use it once a week.

I like the video games so much, because they are good entertainment and it is a traditional family activity. Therefore, my life without video games would be boring.

Biography

Hi every people

My name is Camilo Caro. I am from Santiago de Chile. I was born in Hospital Sotero del Rio, Puente Alto.  I am 21 years old. I live with my parents and one sister in La Florida. Actually study Psicology in Universidad de Chile.

My birth was very complicated because the hospital Sotero del Rio is very proor, the atencion is bad and the predisposition by the nurses, left much to be desired. my parents chose this hospial because we did not have a good economic situation, my firts years of life.

In general my infancy was very funny, i was a child restless. I very close to the limit of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, it's a joke. Also remember being emotional and cried every moment. 

When i had nine yers was born my sister Francisca, changed ocurred in the family, but everething was happiness and love.

I study Elementary school in Matte School, located in Puente Alto. Later study high School in the Liceo Industrial Chileno Aleman de Ñuñoa, that school prepared me for the Job, in the speciality of Metal builder.

I Never liked this speciality and decided get into Cpech, to preparedme for the PSU. I finally managed to enter at Universidad of Chile, in the psychology career. Actually i am in third year and very happy for my career. 

talking about more me, I  liked very much cook, especially the italian food.I liked swimming and practice rugby whit my friends. Think i have talent for the communications, especially in the radio and interviews. 

  

My dream is work in any radio and to devote myself to entertain people.
